Notes: A Christmas present for rainbowjehan. Disgracefully short, very barely slashy, and mostly dialogue, but, well, at least I’m fairly sure they’re pretty much in character. I think I should have gone with my other idea. It might have allowed me to make it longer and less gen-ish. Darn and drat. The “first fic is always gen!” curse strikes again. *grumbles*
Anyway. I hope you like it despite all that, dear. *smooch* I did try. And I’ll have to scan in some of my original engravings illustrations for you once I convince the scanner to be good again.

2) The wonderful curve of the hull of the boat, and the way it becomes clearer and stronger day by day, like it’s a plant, growing leaves, or a child in the womb, growing skin, and fingers, and hands, and toes and eyes, day by day by day.
3) The soft green haze over the fields in the morning sun, and Pencroff fussing over them, anxiously, like a house proud woman with a prized piece of china.
4) Mr. Cyrus’s laughter, of a morning, or an afternoon, or an evening, clean and rich and good.
5) The curve of the coast in the evening, the sweep of a cloud, a graceful punctionation mark against the sky, in the afternoon, the slow easy swell of the sun in the morning, warm and new and old, another day, and all of them alive to live it.

I don't figure on really moving over here, exactly, but I've desperately needed to sort out the reams and reams of fic cluttering around my journal and off my journal - I swear, I have several thousand words worth that never made it to being so much as linked, which is not really good - so, in a fit of insane productivity probably brought on by finishing all that knitting (two shawls and a scarf in roughly a week and a half go me) I am. Uh. Attempting to transfer it. And in so doing, organize it. And then, presumably, it will be somewhat easier to get it all sorted out onto a personal archive when I get around to that, which I really should.
This is all assuming I don't get bored and wander off to re-watch Beast Wars episodes for the six gazillionth time or something.
But I'm going to try not to do that until everything is, y'know. Settled. Hopefully.
I like Blake's renderings of horses more than is sane, by the by. Mmm, Blake.
